Shark Finning — Hong Kong and Gansbaai, South Africa

We filmed in two countries for this: Hong Kong for the shark fins and South Africa for the rest of the shark. I used to live in Hong Kong, so I knew all about the controversy around the soup. When given the opportunity to try it on the shoot, I took it, and it was very underwhelming. It was like chicken noodle soup with one really thick noodle. Totally not worth $100 or the slaughtering of sharks.
I used the Canon 6D Mark II with the stock 24-105 f/4.
